A PRAYER FOR REMEMBRANCE DAY — On this second Sunday in November, 56 Commonwealth countries with a combined population of 2.5 billion people, pause to remember countless lives lost in the horrors of war.
We remember that these were real people - not just rows of neat white crosses, not just names on public war memorials - sons and daughters loved by God, cherished by their families, full of feelings, hopes and dreams.
Lord, we are appalled by war - we do not glorify it in any way, especially today - but we remain deeply grateful for those willing to sacrifice their freedom for ours, their loved ones for the sake of our families, their lives for our lives.
On #remembrancesunday we pray for peace to prevail in the war zones of our world: for comfort to come, bloodshed to end, and justice to be done in Ukraine, in Sudan, in Gaza, Israel and Lebanon.
Lord, let your kingdom come, let your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us… and deliver us from evil.

This Sunday at EBC we gather for worship and Part 3 of our ‘Chosen To Be A Miracle’ teaching. As it’s Remembrance Sunday, we will begin in quiet prayer & reflection, so we ask that you arrive & are seated by 10.55am. Thank-you. Following worship/teaching there will then be an opportunity to get a quick tea/coffee and come straight back into the Sanctuary for a short Church Meeting, where we will focus on a finance update & EBC Christmas plans. All members & those who regularly attend EBC are most welcome. A video & snacks will be available for our kids during this short meeting. See you Sunday. #RemembranceSunday #ChosentobeaMiracle #EBCChurchMeeting

🍁 In a couple of weeks we will be gathering together from all around Scotland and would love you to be there!
Friday evening National Prayer Gathering is open to all and will be an amazing opportunity for collective worship, praying together into a range of significant areas, and listening for God’s voice in it all.
🙌🏼Please book in so we can make sure we have enough coffee and cakes for all!
