✨ On Sunday, Ian wrapped up our Philippians series with an encouraging message from chapter 4 🙌
No matter what we face, we’re reminded to be content in Jesus 💛 and to “receive and experience the amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, deep, deep within ourselves.” 💬💖
Let’s carry that truth with us this week! 🌿
📌 Reminder: Next Sunday is a Sabbath Sunday — there’s no service, but we encourage you to rest, reflect, and recharge 🛋️☕📖

📦🏰 “God is our fortress” 🏰📦 This Sunday, the EBC Kids explored Psalm 46 and what it means to say God is our fortress. 🛡️
They reflected on how God protects, strengthens, and stays with us — then responded with these beautiful words and drawings:
✨ “God is my safe fortress” 🌿 “He lets me live and not be a plant” 🛡️ “God is my fortress – he leads me through the devil’s path” ⚔️ “My God helps us in everything we do and fights our battles for us” ⚽ “God was my fortress when he protected me at my football match” 💖 “God is love” 🙌 “He protects me from evil” 👣 “God is always with us” 🏠 “God is my safe place” 🛡️ “God is my protecter” 🔒 “Safe” ✝️ “God is my saviour”
It’s inspiring to hear how deeply the children are thinking about faith and God’s presence in their lives. 💭🙏

We celebrated and prayed for our kids and young people who are transitioning up to kids, youth and finishing their time in youth. Let’s remember them in prayer this summer as they move on in their school journey!! 🙏📚✏️
Thank you to Lisa Holmes who brought a challenging and powerful message on Philippians 3. 🤍
Keeping fixed on Christ and letting go of all our personal ‘add ons’!
Lots of our usual activities have came to an end for summer 🌞 keep an eye out on socials for what is on at EBC over this summer!

What a wonderful Father’s Day at EBC hearing about the Father heart of God! 🤍
So lovely to pray for and celebrate the Men in our church this Father’s Day! And we remember that today may be difficult for many for different reasons 💙
James took us through Philippians 2 as we explored how God’s Love was shown through his suffering and the cross and what that means for us today!
Some reflection questions that were shared from this morning’s service:
- Where am I grasping rather than giving? - Where am I drawn to ease over sacrifice? - How can I reveal the Father’s heart in my family, friendships, church & community?

🎧 This week Julie, our amazing Community Connector at EBC, was reminded of a song she hadn’t heard in a while: Indescribable by Chris Tomlin.
“Today I really enjoyed hearing Indescribable by Chris Tomlin again, it’s been a long time. I love how this song compares the immensity of God with His intimate knowledge of each one of us. It never fails to stop me in my tracks to marvel at the One who is beyond words and description, and SO worthy of my praise and worship” 🙌✨
