Another great Sunday at EBC! 🙌

Andy brought this week’s message from Matthew 20:1–16 as we continued our New Wine series. Through the parable of the workers in the vineyard, he spoke about God’s grace, a grace that cannot be earned, compared, or measured by human standards, but is given by a generous and loving God.

A huge thank you to everyone who served this morning and helped make our gathering possible! From welcoming and worship to sound, visuals, and tea and coffee, every act of service helps create a place where people can encounter God! A special thank you to our youth team, who did a fantastic job serving. 🙌🏻

As we head into the summer season, some of our community groups will be taking a well-earned break to rest, recharge and enjoy a change of pace. We’re so grateful for all that’s happened this year and for the incredible people who make these groups such a special part of church life.

But there’s still plenty happening at EBC this month!

What a special All Age Sunday at EBC 🙏🏻

A huge thank you to Pam & Fiona for leading us so thoughtfully, and to our young people who served in worship and production! We love seeing every generation playing their part in church life!

Keep it simple. Keep it real. Keep it up.

One of the key reminders from today was that sometimes the best way to start praying is to stop talking. To pause. To be still. To put down the prayer list for a moment and remember who God is. Before we speak, we can simply sit in His presence and be amazed by Him.

Pentecost Sunday at EBC!!
Celebrating the birth of The Church.
We explored together what happened in
Acts 2.

All gathered. 🔥
All filled. 🔥
All sent. 🔥

We discovered that Pentecost is about ordinary people like all of us at EBC being empowered by the Spirit to:
* boldly proclaim Jesus
* live holy lives
* love sacrificially
* advance the Kingdom of God

“The Spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity.
It is part & parcel of the total plan of God for all His people.” AW TOZER

Today we all echoed the ancient prayer of the Church: ‘Come Holy Spirit’. 🙏🏻🔥🙏🏾
It was beautiful to hear this prayer spoken out in SO many languages at EBC. 🌍

We need to individually choose to plug 🔌 into the power of the Holy Spirit daily to live for Jesus & be His Church. Tonight at Make Room we all received prayer and asked the Holy Spirit to fill us afresh.

Come Holy Spirit, anoint us ALL for Your service. Send us out to bring & be good news, wherever we are.

Come Holy Spirit, flow freely in EBC –

Your Church.

Come Holy Spirit, lead us closer to

Jesus Christ.

May we ALL be filled with the Holy Spirit
and FIRE.

What does it mean to live with New Wine in the Kingdom of God? 🙏🏻

This Sunday, Niall continued our New Wine series, looking at John 15 and reflecting on the vine and the branches, and how pruning, support, spiritual formation, and remaining connected to Jesus all lead to lasting fruitfulness. 🌿

We explored what it means to abide in Him through every season, and how love, joy, friendship with God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit are all part of a life rooted in Jesus.

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.” John 15:4

Fruitfulness doesn’t come from striving, it flows from abiding.

From coming together in expectation in our pre gathering prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit to unite, protect & anoint us,
to Hannah Montgomery’s powerful teaching on ‘Hearing God’s Voice & Being a Prophetic People.’

voice and be able to follow after him.

We are grateful for the way our Worship Team led us & those who shared honestly what God is saying to them through our ‘New Wine’ teaching series - continuing next Sunday!

We then flowed into Communion - taking time to remember what Jesus has made possible for each of us. 🍞✝️🍷

Throughout our building in the EBC Crèche, Kids & Youth there was lots going on as each team led creative, fun and engaging activities. 🙌🏾❤️🙌🏼

Shoutout to our Service Teams who enabled & assisted throughout the time, ensuring each person felt seen & welcomed!
Thanks too to our Production & Communion Team!

Thank-you Jesus for all you are doing in our lives & community. More Holy Spirit. 🔥

We LOVE hosting the EBC Wellbeing Cafe, Fridays, 10am - 12noon.
Huge thanks to Julie, our amazing Community Connector and all the team who faithfully create a warm, safe & welcoming space each week for our guests to just be, to connect with others, try new things, be creative, develop their wellbeing skills & have fun! 🤩

**Please note 2 more Wellbeing Cafe Sessions remaining. We are on Fri 15th & Fri 29th May and off Fri 22nd May (holiday weekend)**

Our Prayer Space, will have various areas/stations to help us all pray, you can sit quietly or pray creatively as you are led by the Holy Spirit. At various moments we will worship & pray together.
