What an incredible time of community, laughter, and joy. Thank you to everyone who has prayed and supported us. God is on the move. 🙏

Today at EBC!
Good to gather to worship Jesus & explore the importance of petitioning God in personal prayer from Mark Chp 10.
It was also great to thank Him for breakthroughs in healing as a Church Family.

We LOVE the Summer, especially when the ☀️is out! We hope that whatever you are doing - on holiday, at home with the kids, working, normal everyday stuff, serving at a camp or festival - you know His rest, joy and pleasure over your life. 🫶🏻
Some updates….
☀️We look forward to gathering this Sunday at 10.30am for Pre Gathering Prayer and then at 11am for worship, teaching & concluding with a special time of testimony & thanksgiving. ** Please note no tea/coffee as Service Teams on hospitality are on a rest. **
☀️Magnitude gets underway this Saturday, so many of our youth & youth leaders will be away. There is STILL time to give towards the overall costs of Camp & Magnitude this year. Your giving is enabling young people to have an incredible summer, full of fun & encounters with Jesus. Thank-you!
☀️Our Community Picnic last Sunday was just WOW! What a time of celebration & connection.
☀️Come for Lunch Sunday is just around the corner on Sun 2nd August. This is an important opportunity to ‘go first’ and invite one person or a small group of people for a simple lunch at your home, a local cafe or Morrisons. The food is not the most important thing here - it’s about connection, welcome & depth of relationship across our beautifully diverse church family.
Can we encourage you to invite folks you don’t know so well. Let’s go EBC!

Our Community Picnic was just brilliant yesterday! Such a great atmosphere - joy, fun, food (from all over the world) connection, dancing, chill/catch up time, games, fab live music, quizzes, 2 bouncy castles, sunshine, ice-cream, a fire engine 🚒 and so much more!!

Come along at 1pm 🕐 bring your picnic rug/deck chair, some picnic food, some money for the ice-cream van & invite a friend!
We’ll have free tea/coffee/juice, inflatables, games for the kids, a quiz with prizes, live music and a few other surprises! 😉
This event is open to anyone in our community, so if you are passing by, please say hi! 👋 We’ll be meeting on the grass opposite the church and we’ll have some shaded areas too.

A MASSIVE thanks to the whole TEAM for the ways they planned, prepared & served the young people who came along for the week.
Our campers had an incredible time & we pray that every seed 🌱 of God’s love & truth they experienced will flourish & grow.

What an amazing time we had at Church today!! Such a sense of God’s Presence in our worship and as Riodhna brought an incredible teaching on ‘Entering God’s Rest’🔥⛪️✝️ from Genesis 1 & 2, 1 Kings 19, Hebrews 4 & Matthew 11:28-30.
Just some of the gems from today’s preach….
💎A church that cannot rest is a church that has forgotten who is building it.
💎Restlessness in a community doesn’t stay personal, it becomes cultural:
we fill space instead of discerning direction
we equate activity with faithfulness
we mistake momentum for obedience
we become shaped by urgency rather than presence.
💎The question for EBC is not:
Are we doing enough?
BUT
Are we living from trust or from pressure?
💎Because rest is not inactivity.
Rest is agreement with God.
AND in other news!!….EBC Camp in partnership with @suscotland is underway!

What a great Sunday!
We were blessed to have Ilse Ogston sharing about The Father’s House and how it is a place of healing for all who become part of it. Drawing from John 14, she encouraged us to consider how we can live out these truths in our own lives. What a gift!
It was also so good to have our crèche and kids with us. Thank you to everyone who served today, from our production team to our service teams. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you! 🙌🏻
This Made for Encounter Sunday we heard from Fiona Crow as she shared on creativity and how it can be an act of worship to God. Such an important reminder for us all! 🙌🏻
It’s so good seeing our kids, crèche and youth having so much fun too. It’s amazing to see every generation together, growing in faith and community.
A huge thank you to all of our teams who serve so faithfully and make Sundays like this possible. 🙏🏻

What an absolute joy it was to take 14 amazing young people. From worship and teaching to late-night chats, laughter, and making memories together, it was a week we won’t forget! God is on the move! 🙏
