Our EBC Holiday Club is back this summer, and we can`t wait to welcome children for three action-packed days of fun!

This year`s theme is On Your Marks! Get ready for exciting games, team challenges, crafts, music, drama, Bible stories, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends as we discover more about God together.

What an amazing time we had at Church today!! Such a sense of God’s Presence in our worship and as Riodhna brought an incredible teaching on ‘Entering God’s Rest’🔥⛪️✝️ from Genesis 1 & 2, 1 Kings 19, Hebrews 4 & Matthew 11:28-30.
Just some of the gems from today’s preach….
💎A church that cannot rest is a church that has forgotten who is building it.
💎Restlessness in a community doesn’t stay personal, it becomes cultural:
we fill space instead of discerning direction
we equate activity with faithfulness
we mistake momentum for obedience
we become shaped by urgency rather than presence.
💎The question for EBC is not:
Are we doing enough?
BUT
Are we living from trust or from pressure?
💎Because rest is not inactivity.
Rest is agreement with God.
AND in other news!!….EBC Camp in partnership with @suscotland is underway!
Some very excited boys & girls left @easterhousesportscentre this afternoon on the bus headed to camp. 🏕️🙏🏽☀️

What a great Sunday!
We were blessed to have Ilse Ogston sharing about The Father’s House and how it is a place of healing for all who become part of it. Drawing from John 14, she encouraged us to consider how we can live out these truths in our own lives. What a gift!
It was also so good to have our crèche and kids with us. Thank you to everyone who served today, from our production team to our service teams. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you! 🙌🏻
This Made for Encounter Sunday we heard from Fiona Crow as she shared on creativity and how it can be an act of worship to God. Such an important reminder for us all! 🙌🏻
It’s so good seeing our kids, crèche and youth having so much fun too. It’s amazing to see every generation together, growing in faith and community.
A huge thank you to all of our teams who serve so faithfully and make Sundays like this possible. 🙏🏻

Another great Sunday at EBC! 🙌
Andy brought this week’s message from Matthew 20:1–16 as we continued our New Wine series. Through the parable of the workers in the vineyard, he spoke about God’s grace, a grace that cannot be earned, compared, or measured by human standards, but is given by a generous and loving God.
A huge thank you to everyone who served this morning and helped make our gathering possible! From welcoming and worship to sound, visuals, and tea and coffee, every act of service helps create a place where people can encounter God! A special thank you to our youth team, who did a fantastic job serving. 🙌🏻

As we head into the summer season, some of our community groups will be taking a well-earned break to rest, recharge and enjoy a change of pace. We’re so grateful for all that’s happened this year and for the incredible people who make these groups such a special part of church life.
But there’s still plenty happening at EBC this month!

What a special All Age Sunday at EBC 🙏🏻
A huge thank you to Pam & Fiona for leading us so thoughtfully, and to our young people who served in worship and production! We love seeing every generation playing their part in church life!
Together we explored a simple way to pray:

Keep it simple. Keep it real. Keep it up.
One of the key reminders from today was that sometimes the best way to start praying is to stop talking. To pause. To be still. To put down the prayer list for a moment and remember who God is. Before we speak, we can simply sit in His presence and be amazed by Him.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today. It was a wonderful morning of worship, learning, laughter and growing together as one church family. What an honour! 🙌🏻

Pentecost Sunday at EBC!!
Celebrating the birth of The Church.
We explored together what happened in
Acts 2.
All gathered. 🔥
All filled. 🔥
All sent. 🔥
We discovered that Pentecost is about ordinary people like all of us at EBC being empowered by the Spirit to:
* boldly proclaim Jesus
* live holy lives
* love sacrificially
* advance the Kingdom of God
“The Spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity.
It is part & parcel of the total plan of God for all His people.” AW TOZER
Today we all echoed the ancient prayer of the Church: ‘Come Holy Spirit’. 🙏🏻🔥🙏🏾
It was beautiful to hear this prayer spoken out in SO many languages at EBC. 🌍
We need to individually choose to plug 🔌 into the power of the Holy Spirit daily to live for Jesus & be His Church. Tonight at Make Room we all received prayer and asked the Holy Spirit to fill us afresh.
Come Holy Spirit, anoint us ALL for Your service. Send us out to bring & be good news, wherever we are.
Come Holy Spirit, flow freely in EBC –
Your Church.
Come Holy Spirit, lead us closer to
Jesus Christ.
May we ALL be filled with the Holy Spirit
and FIRE.

What does it mean to live with New Wine in the Kingdom of God? 🙏🏻
This Sunday, Niall continued our New Wine series, looking at John 15 and reflecting on the vine and the branches, and how pruning, support, spiritual formation, and remaining connected to Jesus all lead to lasting fruitfulness. 🌿
We explored what it means to abide in Him through every season, and how love, joy, friendship with God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit are all part of a life rooted in Jesus.
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.” John 15:4
Fruitfulness doesn’t come from striving, it flows from abiding.
Thank you to everyone who served and helped make Sunday happen. We’re so grateful for this church family 🙌🏻
