Community Action

We love Glasgow — especially the East End and the Greater Easterhouse area, and we want to see it, and everyone in it, thrive.

As a church, we love finding ways to support, encourage and bless our local community throughout the year. From practical support to creating opportunities for people to connect, we want to make a positive difference wherever we can.

Here are just a few examples of what we get involved in:

Bags of Kindness

At Christmas and Easter, we put together Bags of Kindness filled with essential food items and other treats, giving them to people and families in our local community who may appreciate some extra support.

Easter Experience

This year we hosted an Easter Experience Day, welcoming local schools into EBC to explore the Easter story through a fun, interactive experience. It’s a great opportunity for children to learn about the meaning of Easter in a welcoming and engaging environment.

Community Picnic

In July we host a Community Picnic in the grounds around the church allowing families in the area to catch up and enjoy living in this area.

Community Breakfast

We have partnered with Thriving Places to host Community Breakfasts. We gather with our community, other charity organisations doing amazing work in the area and our locally elected councillors, MSPs and MPs. It is great to meet, support and encourage each other and hear about all the brilliant work going on to transform this local area.
